About Seafood City Supermarket
Located at 2340 N Rose Ave, Oxnard, CA 93036, Seafood City Supermarket operates as a chinese supermarket serving Oxnard in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in Oxnard with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in California may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 8 amβ9 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (805) 973-8084. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, seafoodcity.com.
Its Google rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 298 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Oxnard is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Oxnard follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I really enjoy coming to this place, but I had a disappointing experience at the food court during my most recent visit. I politely asked for extra vinegar and even offered to pay an additional charge if necessary. Instead of explaining the policy, the employee simply told me "no" and motioned with her hand for me to leave, which came across as very rude and dismissive. While waiting, I overheard the employees speaking in Tagalog. My wife is Filipina, so I was able to understand them saying to tell me to leave and that they didn't have any more. If that was truly the case, a courteous explanation would have been appreciated instead of being dismissed. I've requested extra vinegar on previous visits without any issues, so this experience was surprising. Customer service that day was very disappointing. I hope management addresses this with their staff, as treating customers with respect is important. If a customer is willing to pay for an additional item, the request should at least be handled professionally, even if it cannot be accommodated.

First time visiting this local store, and will Definitely be the last! While selections are good, Food is WELL Beyond Expiration date! Extremely RUDE Cashier! Avocado that CLEARLY said $3.99 AND had a tag saying from DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, Cashiers charged me $5.99 for a " Florida Avocado ". When I said it is NOT $5.99 , NOR From Florida. She INSISTED it was. So I left my things at the register ( only 1 open with about 10 people in line) went and took a photo of the Avocados and SIGN Stating $3.99. So what does she do? Tells ME to WAIT at another register while they get someone to fix the price! If she had READ the label ON the Avocado, SHE wouldn't have had a problem. Cashier that came to help ALSO Didn't understand the issue! Neither spoke nor understood English very well AT ALL. I'M SORRY, BUT , This IS America where our OFFICIAL Language is ENGLISH. NO ONE should be hired into ANY Position where you are unable to Speak or Understand English then get angry at the CUSTOMER because YOU CANNOT UNDERSTAND ENGLISH! Poor Customer Service, HORRID. " Fresh" Food at the " Grill" looked like it was Day Old and Dry. It was 11 AM!! AVOID this place. Much better, and SAFER pla

North Hills branch had been renovated last year. More spacious with good lighting, clean and no fishy smell. They have more product selections and more organized. I love the fresh fish and you can have them cleaned and/or fried while doing some more shopping, I also like that I can choose and bag the shrimps myself then take for then to weigh and price. Family friendly atmosphere β€οΈ β₯οΈ π

I made a stop at Seafood City Supermarket in Oxnard off Rose Ave near the 101 freeway on my way up to the Central Coast to pick up some ingredients. To my surprise, this Seafood City looked brand new. It was so clean and huge. And it wasnβt crowded (I came on a weekday afternoon). The employees were really friendly too. I even found some items I had been looking for that were out of stock in my local Seafood City. They have an assortment of Asian products - mostly Filipino items. Inside this supermarket, thereβs Grill City to the right (a casual cafeteria-style eatery offering popular Filipino dishes); they also have a bakery to the left. Oh, and the baked bread smelled so delicious! Overall, this is a well-stocked Seafood City. Itβs clean and spacious. And the employees are helpful and friendly.

The place is clean and very well-organized, making it easy to shop. They focus more on Filipino food, which isn't quite my preference, as they donβt carry much of other Asian cuisine, but they do have a great selection for Filipino dishes. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming. If you're into Filipino food, it's definitely worth checking out. Even though they don't have everything I was looking for, I appreciate the variety and quality they offer.
